We lend our socio-ecological urban strategy expertise to public and private sector clients in the form of design innovation workshops as well as longer term engagements. During the latter of the two, we perform comprehensive evaluation and propose integrated or alternative solutions that aim to future-proof projects against the complex environmental challenges of our era.

HYPERLOCAL AIR QUALITY WORKSHOP

For the Environmental Defense Fund, we designed and developed a workshop which brought together a dynamic group of stakeholders from the public, private, and academic sectors. The group brainstormed actionable roles hyperlocal air quality insights could play in supporting and advancing climate action and data-driven decision making around public health. Together, we explored and built upon intersections between air quality and other high-priority urban challenges.

URBAN INNOVATION WORKSHOP SERIES

For BASF’s Summit, Revitalizing Red Hook - an area devastated by Hurricane Sandy - we developed a series of 6 workshops over two days dealing with local challenges related to habitat, resilience, citizenship and mobility. Over 100 solutions were generated from these workshops, the top 5 of which were captured and developed for BASF by Terreform ONE in the form of a white paper.

EV INFRASTRUCTURE STRATEGY

The NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability engaged Terreform ONE to evaluate and consider integration schemes, user experience, hub life-cycle, adaptability, future functionality, and growth strategies for the design, development and deployment of the city’s electric vehicle charging hubs.
